Pieni päiväkotilainen

Sillan päiväkotiura alkoi hieman aiottua aikaisemmin ja toivottua hätäisemmällä aikataululla toukokuun alussa. Silla aloitti Knuutilankankaan päiväkodissa, Lahtisten ryhmässä. Eeli on samassa päiväkodissa, Järvisten ryhmässä. Pieni päiväkotilainen oli monta päivää tarkkailevalla kannalla. Tätien mukaan päivät menivät menoa ja meininkiä ihmetellessä. Syöminen, pukeminen ja puhuminenkin unohtuivat kaiken häslingin keskellä. Välillä itkettikin, silloin löytyi onneksi aikuisen syli vähäksi aikaa. Ja ulkonakin itketti. Silloin mentiin katsomaan Eeliä isojen pihalla ja Eeli halasi. Se helpotti. Pikkuhiljaa Silla on tottunut ryhmään. Tätit ovat saaneet kuulla, että kyllä – hän myös puhuu! Äitiä on alkanut pikkuhiljaa helpottaa, kun kuulumiset ovat päivä päivältä parempia. Kolmannen viikon lopulla isi sai jo kokea viihtymisen toisen puolen, kun kotiin haettaessa Silla protestoi: ”Mee poit ikkä! En haua tuttiin! Tyhmä ikkä!” Äänekäs protesti kesti kotiin saakka jatkuen vielä hyvän tovin kotonakin…

Silla’s career in daycare started a little earlier than expected since daddy started working quite a bit earlier than he was supposed to. Silla goes to the same daycare with Eeli, although it is a different age group. Silla spent many days just pondering the situation and observing the surroundings. She forgot to eat, dress and talk. She cried every now and then but fortunately she found comfort in the adults there. Being outside made her cry too. Then they went to see Eeli and Eeli gave her a hug. That helped. But little by little she is getting accustomed to the daycare and the news we hear are better every day. She eats, sleeps, talks (even poos) now. And by the end of her third week in there daddy saw how things have changed when she didn’t want to go home. Really. Did. Not. Want. To. Go. Home. She protested. ”Go away daddy! Don’t want home! Stupid daddy!” The protest lasted all the way home (on a bicycle) and a fair time crying and screaming on the living room floor… (btw. see this)
